My name is Sandra Hugo. I am an accountant with a B Comm (Accounting) degree obtained from the North West University, and also a Business Accountant in Practice, registered with SAIBA. 

My career started at the Office of the Auditor-General as a State Accountant. After three years I moved into the private sector. 

Here I gained vast and valuable experience of more than 20 years, across all aspects of in-company accounting in the property development and management sectors, as well as the wine industry. 

This experience covered the full accounting function from cashbook to balance sheet, management accounts and reports, also rental and expense recovery invoicing of our tenants, budgets and cashflows, payroll administration and SARS submissions, VAT recons and submissions, UIF online submissions, Compensation Commissioner submissions, stock control, production planning. Furthermore, I had some exposure to overseas companies and individual’s taxes and submissions. 

I also obtained the Certificate for the Commercial Property Practitioner from the University of Pretoria, as well as the certificate IFRS for SME from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
